Elements and Performance Criteria
- Plan and prepare to manage well servicing induction and orientation
- Source, interpret and apply compliance documentations and ensure the work activity is compliant
- Confirm, maintain and apply induction and orientation procedures and instructions
- Identify key personnel and roles required for delegation and support in performing induction and orientation and communicate requirements
- Resolve coordination requirements with others at the site prior to commencing induction and orientation
- Identify, manage and report all potential hazards
- Examine general safety practices
- Obtain and review policies/procedures in relation to alcohol, drugs and firearms/weapons and communicate to others
- Develop chain of command and communication strategies and communicate to others
- Establish and maintain hazard identification, reporting and written recording processes and communicate requirements to others
- Assess personal protective equipment and procedures and establish procedures in place to communicate and monitor adherence to legislative/company requirements
- Identify hazardous materials handling and transport arrangements and establish and communicate procedures to manage and prevent uncontrolled/unauthorised release
- Establish and maintain hazardous energy control and fire safety procedures and communicate requirements to others
- Identify mechanical equipment and manual handling hazard control measures and establish and communicate procedures to avoid non-conformance
- Verbally discuss rig working and living conditions including work rosters and camp rules to others
- Maintains written records and reporting of risk to activity, personnel and con-conformance
- Communicate first aid/emergency response arrangements
- Identify first aid requirements and discuss with others
- Identify and highlight dangers associated with the use of first aid applications
- Identify blood borne pathogens and precautions to identify contamination and communicate to others
- Identify different types of alarms, their uses and authorisations and communicate to others
